C. Evan Smith
Evan Smith has helped organizations and leaders to deliver measurable results through successful business growth for more than 20 years. Earlier in his career, Evan led the Quality function for a global mid-cap chemical company through both a major IT systems implementation and the transition to a dramatically new quality system, and oversaw efforts to retain and expand business with key customers. He worked within the corporate Performance Management function for a U. S. regional bank during a time of restructuring, as well as a business redesign to position units to better engage and service customers within the bank’s investment services arm. Evan started his career with GE in its aerospace business, working within Information Technology on MRP and related systems.
His consulting clients have included major pharmaceutical, medical devices, financial services, chemical, automotive, technology, energy, and professional services companies, among others. He’s currently helping leaders to set strategy, identify and work with critical new assumptions, and test business models. In addition to his work with company leaders to orchestrate organic growth, he’s played an active role as a leader, adviser and facilitator in several successful acquisition integration exercises for both multinational and mid-cap companies headquartered in the U. S., Europe and Japan. Finally, as an operator, he’s helped to start and operate several small businesses, including companies in medical devices, several custom manufacturing businesses, and marketing services.
Evan earned his Masters in Public and Private Management from the Yale School of Organization and Management. He also holds Bachelor degrees in Industrial & Management Systems Engineering, and in Liberal Arts, from the Pennsylvania State University.
